We are looking for talented school leaders with a passion for enabling Church school communities to flourish. You would join a dedicated and enthusiastic team of advisers supporting schools across the Diocese of Oxford in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes, and Oxfordshire.
Position: Diocesan School Adviser
Location: Church House Oxford, Kidlington / Hybrid / Schools across the Diocese
Starting date: 01 September 2025
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Salary: £63,212.36 to £68,074.47 pro-rata per annum (pay award pending)
Contract: Permanent

We are looking for someone with a proven track record as a headteacher with experience of effective school improvement, successful SIAMS and Ofsted inspections who can secure and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues and think creatively - to work strategically and to anticipate and solve problems. We seek applications from people who have a working knowledge and experience of Religious Education, collective worship, and spiritual growth within schools. We are looking for a practicing Christian in sympathy with the Anglican tradition with the ability to articulate the Christian faith. An ability to walk alongside colleagues in schools and to form positive professional relationships is essential.
Working closely as part of a team of Diocesan School Advisers, the priorities for the successful candidate will be to support the development of Church schools as providers of high-quality educational standards, spiritual flourishing and contribute to the effectiveness of ODBE’s services and operations. The position is subject to enhanced DBS checks.
