This unit allows puils to look at Torah scrolls, consider the history of Judaism and explore more of the laws that many Jewish people observe. It builds on the Y1 units about Shabbat and how to behave.
In what ways is the synagogue important to Jewish people?
This unit looks at how the synagogue is the centre of the community for many Jewish people. It will revise the concept of worship introduced in reception and Y1.
What are the best reasons for following a leader?
In this unit pupils are given the opportunity to consider the qualities that mark someone out as a leader, and how these qualities should be evaluated. Pupils will begin to explore philosophical reasoning, testing whather ideas make sense.
