This unit introduces the idea of God as creator of the world and how the Pslams reveal his character.

What do most Christians celebrate together?

This unit can have a Christmas or an Easter focus depending on when it is taught. Baptism is also covered.

What questions do stories in the Bible make us want to ask?

This unit will begin to show pupils that stories in the Bible are open to different interpretations, and it's acceptable to ask questions. This is an introduction to philosophical thinking.

What do different Jewish people believe about God?

This unit explores Jewish beliefs about God, looking at Abraham and the Shema.

How and why is Shabbat important to Jewish people?

This unit explore the origins of Shabbat and the practices associated with it.

How do people know how to behave?

In this unit pupils consider the rules that people follow. Although there is a Jewish focus, this is a good opportunity to revise the teaching on Christianity and introduce another worldview, such as Sikhi, Hindu Dharma or non-religious worldviews.
