PACT

Back in 1911 PACT was the idea of the then Bishop of Oxford and was established as the social welfare arm of the Anglican Diocese of Oxford. Nowadays PACT is one of the UK’s leading independent adoption charities, placing children with secure and loving families and supporting them with specialist therapeutic support - helping children to overcome difficulties in childhood, adolescence and early adulthood which have resulted from early trauma and neglect. Archbishop of York Youth Trust

The Archbishop of York Youth Trust was established by Dr John Sentamu in 2009.   Founded on Christian values the Youth Trust is inclusive to all in its ethos and activities. We believe that every young person is unique, of great worth, and has the potential to change our communities for the better.  As a charity, we partner with schools, churches and communities to develop opportunities for young people to grow in leadership, faith and character. Christian Aid, in partnership with the Church of England’s Education Office, strives to encourage a deeper understanding of global injustice and equip school pupils across England with the knowledge, skills and confidence to act against inequality, work towards a world free of poverty and become courageous advocates for change.
