Effectiveness

Church school effectiveness encompasses the outcomes for pupils and young people at every level –children working on puzzle on playground

  • academic excellence shown in national outcomes,
  • vibrant curriculum serving the needs of children in their local context,
  • success for leaders and governors in evidencing their impact in inspections, and,
  • a wealth of opportunity for young people to build character and act as advocates for their futures.

We encourage schools to be sensitive to their local contexts and provide rich experiences which enable all members of their communities to flourish.

Our work in supporting schools through our School Adviser Team is a partnership with school leaders, governors, trustees, and the wider parish and community.

Through S4S (ODBE's service level agreement) the school adviser team offers training to support RE, Collective Worship and the spiritual development of pupils.

Church of England schools and academies are strongest when all members of their community flourish. Our work in supporting schools is a partnership with school leaders, governors, trustees, and the wider parish and community.
